Taylor Swift Kicks Off Her Evermore Era With Fantastical "Willow" Music Video

Taylor Swift's Evermore era is officially here! Shortly after making the surprise announcement of her ninth album, the singer unveiled the music video for "Willow" on Friday. The video picks up right where the "Cardigan" music video ended, with Swift sitting in a cosy cottage. As she follows a thread of gold into her piano, we're transported into a magical love story. Though many ups and downs tear Swift away from her lover (played by Taeok Lee in the video), they are eventually reunited in the end as they walk out hand in hand and into the daylight.

Swift previously teased that Evermore is "Folklore's sister record," which is very obvious from the video. "I've always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with folklore," she wrote on Instagram. "In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives. So I just kept writing them." Watch her latest music video above!
